DWARFISM
A dwarf can be anyone with short stature caused by
some medical condition. In popular folklore, a ''dwarf'' is a short
person suffering from a skeletal disorder, while a ''midget'' is a
short person suffering from a hormonal disorder. The most common cause of dwarfism is the skeletal disorder achondroplasia. Achondroplasic men reach an average adult height of 4' 2". There is no official ''height limit'' for dwarfs. |
