(1999-07-03) T0950 T1931 Walked down the Road to Nowhere around noon (T1030/T1430) (circa). We actually got to "Nowhere", which was a tundra area. When we got back, we were tired. Got a bunch of bagels. (1.95 CAD for six of them, expiring) We bought 1 dozen. Mike ate 6, I ate 3. Then, around T1600, we went out for Sylvia Grinnell Park. Walked
down the trail, along the river shore, found a road (!) which leads
back to the side of the Canadian Defence runway and the commercial
airport. T1938 So tired. Came back to the room. I ate 3 more bagels. Watching CBC. In the Grinnell trip, we saw a couple caribous on the other side of the river, and another one in close distance (approximately 300 m). Probably a fox too, about 700 m away. The tundra next to the airport, among other places, are spongey, sort of like walking on snow. T1941
